I am enjoying the current Scotsman jobs press campaign that is doing the rounds in their papers. There are loads of executions - I've only managed to get five scanned in because there have been a lot running as half pagers in the Scotland on Sunday and my scanner doesn't accommodate broadsheet size (I'm also well too lazy to scan and piece together).
I like these for quite a few reasons, the most prominent being that you don't often see press campaigns with such different executions that feel like part of a campaign. Often, campaigns stick to a template - same typography, same lines, same visual style, etc. These are all different but hang together, as good ads should.
I was wondering who the culprits of this creative were likely to be, so I went over to 60 Watt's website to see if they knew anything about it. They do. Turns out there are 14 different ads!
Hey Crabbit, if you like I'll send you some nice clean jpegs. Just say the word. Cheers, Pete
ReplyDeleteP.S. Thanks for the mention!
Love the first two. At first glance I thought the woman's face was merged, halfway across, with the baby's. Think it would work better that way. But what do I know? Nothing, that's what.
ReplyDeleteFinal one doesn't really work for me because it's a little too contrived.
Agree with you on the whole campaigny feely thingy. They hang together well.
There. They are my comments. Bland as a bread sandwich.
Your comments are not bland and are in fact much appreciated. Opinions are like arseholes and we all have one of those, so keep 'em coming.
ReplyDeleteHopefully I will see more of this campaign in the coming weeks! Any new creative I spot I will pop up here.
